Anti-Axl (Phospho-Tyr691) Antibody

From Antibodies.com, this rabbit polyclonal antibody of the IgG isotype is raised against Axl and detects the receptor exclusively when phosphorylated at tyrosine 691. The unconjugated reagent is supplied as a liquid and has been validated for Western blotting, immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence and ELISA on human, mouse and rat samples, with no reported cross-reactivity.

The immunogen is a synthetic peptide spanning amino acids 657–706 of human AXL around the Tyr691 phosphorylation site, and the antibody is purified from rabbit serum by antigen affinity chromatography using the immunizing phospho peptide. The target protein runs at a molecular weight of 97 kDa. Recommended working dilutions are WB 1:500–1:1000, IHC 1:50–1:100 and ELISA 1:20000.

The formulation is phosphate buffered saline (without Mg2+ and Ca2+), pH 7.4, containing 150 mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol. The antibody is shipped at 4 °C; upon arrival it should be aliquoted and stored at –20 °C, avoiding repeated freeze/thaw cycles.
