Anti-Aurora A + B Kinase Antibody [5A12]

Mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody (clone 5A12) raised against recombinant full-length human Aurora A protein, expressed in and purified from E. coli. The antibody recognizes Aurora A and Aurora B but does not cross-react with Aurora C. It stains microtubules in the spindle midzone and spindle poles, where Aurora A is localized, and the inner centromere, where Aurora B is localized. Both Aurora A and Aurora B are also found in the midbody, so the antibody can be used to visualize midbodies on dividing cells and to identify cells that are about to divide.

Validated for WB, ICC/IF and IHC, and reactive with Human, Mouse, Rat, Canine and Horse samples. Supplied unconjugated as a liquid at 1 mg/ml in Phosphate Buffered Saline with 50% Glycerol and 5 mM Sodium Azide, and purified by immunogen affinity chromatography. Reported molecular weights are 46 kDa and 38 kDa. Recommended dilutions: WB 1:1,000–1:2,000, ICC/IF 1:1,000–1:2,000, IHC 1:1,000–1:2,000. Shipped at 4 °C; upon delivery, aliquot and store at -20 °C, avoiding freeze/thaw cycles.
