Raised in rabbit against the ATXN3 (Ataxin-3) protein, this polyclonal unconjugated antibody from Antibodies.com is validated for western blot, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence workflows on human, mouse, and rat samples. ATXN3 is a deubiquitinating enzyme best known for its link to Machado-Joseph disease (Spinocerebellar Ataxia type 3, SCA3), where polyglutamine expansion in the ATXN3 gene drives neuronal loss in the cerebellum and brainstem; the reagent is therefore routinely used to study protein aggregation, proteostasis, and ubiquitin-proteasome pathway dysfunction in neurodegenerative disease models. Supplied as 100 µL of affinity-purified polyclonal reagent in a vial, it serves as a primary antibody for laboratories investigating polyQ expansion disorders, DUB biology, and cerebellar neurodegeneration mechanisms.
