ATXN3 (Ataxin-3) is a deubiquitinating enzyme implicated in Machado-Joseph disease, also known as spinocerebellar ataxia type 3, where expanded polyglutamine tracts disrupt neuronal proteostasis. This unconjugated polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com is raised in rabbit and validated for western blot, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence workflows across human, mouse, and rat samples. The antibody is supplied as a 50 µL aliquot at 1 mg/mL in PBS with 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol for routine cold-storage handling. Researchers studying polyglutamine expansion, ubiquitin-proteasome pathway regulation, or neurodegenerate cerebellar tissue use this reagent to detect endogenous Ataxin-3 in brain lysates, transfected cell lines, and fixed sections, with the unconjugated format allowing flexible second-step labeling with HRP, biotin, or fluorophore conjugates chosen by the user.
