This rabbit polyclonal antibody targets ATPIF1 (ATPase Inhibitory Factor 1), a small mitochondrial protein that regulates the F1FO-ATP synthase and helps preserve mitochondrial membrane potential under acidic or ischemic conditions. Produced by Antibodies.com as an unconjugated reagent supplied in a 100 µl volume, it is validated for western blot and immunohistochemistry workflows on human samples.

ATPIF1 controls the reverse hydrolase activity of mitochondrial ATP synthase when the proton motive force is lost, and research links it to cristae remodeling, mitophagy, and metabolic adaptation in cancer. Investigators studying Warburg-style glycolytic shift, hypoxia signaling, or neurodegenerative mitochondrial dysfunction use IF1 immunodetection to track expression changes and subcellular localization in cell lysates and fixed tissue sections.

Raised in rabbit and purified as a polyclonal reagent, the antibody recognizes the mature ATPIF1 polypeptide of roughly 9-12 kDa. For western blot, dilutions between 1:500 and 1:2000 are useful starting points depending on antigen abundance; for immunohistochemistry on paraffin-embedded tissue, citrate-based antigen retrieval followed by overnight primary incubation at 4 °C is commonly applied. The unconjugated format allows free pairing with HRP, biotin, or fluorophore-conjugated secondary antibodies for chemiluminescent or fluorescence readouts.

For handling, aliquot the reagent on receipt to limit freeze-thaw cycles and store at -20 °C in a manual defrost freezer; a working stock may be kept briefly at 4 °C. Protect from light is not required for this unconjugated vial.
