Generated in rabbit against human ATP7A, this unconjugated polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com is supplied as 100 µl of antiserum and supports immunoblotting (WB) and immunohistochemistry (IHC) workflows on human samples. ATP7A is an X-linked copper-transporting P-type ATPase that delivers copper to cuproenzymes in the trans-Golgi network and exports excess copper across the plasma membrane, making it a focus of research on copper homeostasis, Menkes disease, and related metal-trafficking disorders.

The reagent ships as a single vial of 100 µl polyclonal antibody with no fluorophore or enzyme tag, leaving the choice of secondary detection chemistry (HRP, biotin, Alexa Fluor, and similar) to the end user. Short-term storage is refrigerated; for longer projects, aliquot and freeze the antibody at -20 °C and limit freeze-thaw cycles to protect binding activity. Because ATP7A redistributes between the Golgi and the plasma membrane in response to changing copper levels, anti-ATP7A reagents are commonly used alongside copper-treated cell models and patient biopsy IHC to follow transporter trafficking in disease.
