Raised in rabbit against the G3 subunit of the vacuolar H+-ATPase (V-ATPase), this unconjugated polyclonal antibody recognizes ATP6V1G3, the kidney-enriched isoform of the peripheral V1 sector responsible for driving proton translocation across intracellular membranes. The G3 isoform is most strongly expressed in intercalated cells of the renal cortical collecting duct, where it supports urinary acid secretion and whole-body acid-base homeostasis, and recessive variants in ATP6V1G3 have been identified in patients with inherited distal renal tubular acidosis.

Validated for Western blot on human, mouse, and rat samples, the reagent is supplied by Antibodies.com at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline (PBS) at approximately pH 7.2, with 15 mM sodium azide included as a preservative, and is provided as a 100 µl vial. Groups working on V-ATPase biogenesis, vesicular acidification, osteoclast resorption activity, and renal physiology use this reagent to probe endogenous G3 expression in tissue lysates and to characterize dRTA-linked cellular models, including patient-derived samples and gene-targeted mouse lines.
