Raised in rabbit against the catalytic B1 subunit of the vacuolar H+-ATPase, this unconjugated polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com targets ATP6V1B1, the kidney-enriched isoform of the V1 complex. The 100 µl aliquot is supplied at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline at approximately pH 7.2, with 0.05% sodium azide added as preservative, and is validated for western blot and immunohistochemistry on human, mouse, and rat tissues.

ATP6V1B1 forms the rotary catalytic core of the apical proton pump in renal alpha-intercalated cells, so this reagent is widely used to study distal urinary acidification and to investigate loss-of-function variants associated with distal renal tubular acidosis and sensorineural hearing loss. Researchers also apply it to localize V-ATPase activity in cochlear and endolymphatic epithelium, and to compare B1 expression against the more ubiquitous B2 isoform in secretory epithelia. Shipped as a single 100 µl vial, the antibody is intended for research use only; storing refrigerated and aliquoting on first use preserves activity across repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
