The polyclonal rabbit antibody from Antibodies.com targets ATP6AP2 (ATPase H+ Transporting Accessory Protein 2), a multifunctional type I transmembrane protein best known as the (pro)renin receptor and as an accessory subunit of the vacuolar H+-ATPase (V-ATPase) complex that acidifies endosomes, lysosomes, and secretory vesicles.

Supplied at 1 mg/ml in PBS with 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, this 100 µl liquid-format vial of unconjugated reagent is intended for Western blot, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence workflows on human samples. Validated reactivity is reported for human ATP6AP2; the product datasheet does not list reactivity to mouse, rat, or other species.

Because ATP6AP2 sits at the intersection of the renin-angiotensin system, V-ATPase-driven organelle acidification, and Wnt/β-catenin signaling, the antibody is used by labs working on cardiovascular and renal biology, metabolic disease, neural development, and acid-base homeostasis. In Western blot the expected band falls around 35–39 kDa for the mature receptor, and the polyclonal format gives broader epitope coverage than a monoclonal, which is useful when probing different processing intermediates.

For IHC and IF, standard fixation and antigen retrieval methods such as citrate or EDTA-based unmasking on paraffin sections are compatible. Storage at 2–8°C is recommended for the working aliquot, and the 50% glycerol component protects against freeze-thaw damage during long-term storage at –20°C. Sodium azide is included as a preservative and should be washed out before any live-cell staining step.
