Raised in rabbit against ATP5A1, this unconjugated polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com targets the catalytic alpha subunit of mitochondrial ATP synthase (Complex V). ATP5A1 is a highly conserved ~60 kDa inner-mitochondrial-membrane protein that drives ATP production from the proton gradient, and it is frequently used as a loading control for mitochondrial content in Western blot experiments and as a structural marker in immunofluorescence staining of mitochondria across human, mouse, and rat samples.

Validated for WB and IF applications on human, mouse, and rat samples, the reagent is supplied as 100 µl of unconjugated serum in a vial. Recommended uses include studies of oxidative phosphorylation, mitochondrial biogenesis, metabolic disease models, and apoptosis or necrosis pathways. For research use only; aliquot upon receipt and freeze at -20°C to limit freeze-thaw cycles and preserve binding activity across multiple experiments.
