The Antibodies.com polyclonal anti-ATP2A3 reagent targets SERCA3, a calcium-transporting ATPase located in the sarcoplasmic and endoplasmic reticulum membranes and encoded by the ATP2A3 gene. SERCA3 contributes to intracellular Ca2+ sequestration and is widely investigated in the context of epithelial differentiation, pancreatic beta-cell insulin secretion, platelet activation, and colorectal carcinoma, where promoter hypermethylation has been linked to reduced SERCA3 expression in tumor tissue compared with matched normal mucosa. This rabbit polyclonal antibody is supplied as 200 µl of unconjugated IgG and is validated for Western blot (WB) and immunohistochemistry (IHC) on human samples, enabling detection of the endogenous SERCA3 protein in cell lysates and in fixed tissue sections. Researchers commonly apply it to compare SERCA isoform expression patterns, examine ER calcium handling in beta cells and megakaryocyte-derived platelets, and probe SERCA3 downregulation as a candidate biomarker in colon cancer studies. The reagent should be stored refrigerated to preserve activity, aliquoted to limit freeze-thaw cycles, and is intended for research use only.
