Raised in rabbit and purified by affinity chromatography against the immunogen, this polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com targets the ATOH1 transcription factor (also known as Math1/HATH1) and is intended for research use only. The antibody is supplied as an unconjugated, liquid preparation at approximately 1 mg/mL in phosphate-buffered saline (without Mg²⁺ and Ca²⁺), pH 7.4, containing 150 mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide, and 50% glycerol as a cryoprotectant. Each vial contains 50 µL of the product, which is shipped on cold packs at 4 °C and should be aliquoted for long-term storage at –20 °C, with repeated freeze/thaw cycles avoided to preserve activity. The immunogen is a recombinant human ATOH1 protein, allowing the reagent to detect endogenous levels of total ATOH1 in validated assays. According to the manufacturer's specification sheet, the recommended application is Western blotting, with reactivity confirmed against human and mouse samples. As a polyclonal antiserum, the reagent contains a heterogeneous mix of IgG molecules directed against multiple epitopes on the target, providing robust signal across compatible sample types. This format is well suited to laboratories studying inner ear hair cell differentiation, intestinal secretory lineage specification, and medulloblastoma biology, where ATOH1 plays a defining role. Researchers should validate the antibody in their own systems and refer to the lot-specific data sheet provided with the shipment for any updates to recommended dilutions or newly validated applications.
