The ATOH1 protein, also called MATH-1, is a basic helix-loop-helix (bHLH) transcription factor that governs differentiation of inner ear hair cells, cerebellar granule neurons, and intestinal secretory lineages. This polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com was raised in rabbit and is supplied at 1 mg/ml in PBS with 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, provided as a 100 µl vial suitable for repeated use across multiple immunodetection workflows.

The antibody recognizes endogenous ATOH1 in human and mouse samples, supporting Western blot detection in neural and intestinal tissue lysates, immunofluorescence localization in developing cochlear and cerebellar sections, and immunohistochemistry on fixed paraffin or cryo-embedded specimens from wild-type and knockout models. Researchers working on hair cell regeneration in the cochlea, medulloblastoma tumor biology, and tuft cell specification in the gut epithelium use ATOH1 immunostaining to map lineage commitment and to monitor transcription factor expression during development.

The reagent is unconjugated, allowing direct labeling or pairing with standard secondary antibodies, and the glycerol-containing buffer permits frozen storage between uses to minimize freeze-thaw degradation. It is intended for research use only and has not been validated for diagnostic or clinical applications.
