ATM (Ataxia-Telangiectasia Mutated) is a serine/threonine kinase that orchestrates the cellular response to DNA double-strand breaks, phosphorylating downstream substrates such as p53, Chk2, and BRCA1 to coordinate cell cycle arrest, DNA repair, and apoptosis. This rabbit polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com was raised against a synthetic peptide corresponding to a region near residue 1987 of the human ATM protein.

The reagent is supplied as 100 µL at 1 mg/mL in phosphate buffered saline (pH approximately 7.2) containing 0.05% sodium azide as preservative. It is unconjugated and validated for immunohistochemistry on human tissue sections, with recommended storage at -20°C in working aliquots to preserve activity across repeated staining runs. The solution should be thawed on ice before each use and protected from light.

Reactivity is confirmed for human ATM, making the antibody a research tool for studies of DNA damage signaling, genomic instability, and radiosensitivity in cell culture and tissue models. Each vial is intended for research use only and is not approved for clinical diagnostic applications.
