ATL1 (Atlastin-1) is a large dynamin-like GTPase that drives homotypic fusion of endoplasmic reticulum membranes and shapes the peripheral tubular ER network. Mutations in the ATL1 gene cause the early-onset form of hereditary spastic paraplegia known as SPG3A, making the protein a frequent subject of neuroscience and cell biology research. This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal antibody, supplied by Antibodies.com, is raised against ATL1 and validated for Western blot, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence workflows across human, mouse, and rat samples. Each vial contains 100 µl of antibody at 1 mg/ml in PBS with 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, ready to dilute for immunostaining of cultured neurons, brain tissue sections, or transfected cell lines. Researchers commonly use it to probe ER morphology, study the effects of HSP-associated ATL1 variants, and explore atlastin interactions with spastin and REEP family proteins at ER-shaping sites.
