Anti-ATG4A Antibody

The Antibodies.com polyclonal rabbit antibody targets ATG4A (Autophagy Related 4A Cysteine Peptidase), a member of the C-54 cysteine protease family that operates within the autophagy pathway. ATG4A cleaves the C-terminal peptide of pro-LC3 and pro-GABARAP precursors, an essential processing step for LC3 lipidation and autophagosome biogenesis, while also mediating delipidation of LC3 during autophagosome maturation.

This unconjugated reagent is supplied as 100 µL of polyclonal serum raised in rabbit and is validated for Western blot, immunohistochemistry, and immunoprecipitation workflows. The antibody reacts with Human, Mouse, and Rat samples, supporting cell-line and tissue-based autophagy studies across these standard model organisms.

Recommended storage is at -20 °C in working aliquots to limit freeze-thaw cycles, and the solution should be protect from light when thawed.
