The Antibodies.com rabbit polyclonal reagent targets ATG16L1 (Autophagy Related 16-Like 1), a WD40-repeat scaffolding protein essential for canonical autophagy. ATG16L1 forms a complex with the ATG5-ATG12 conjugate to drive LC3 lipidation and autophagosome biogenesis, and it is a well-characterized susceptibility gene for Crohn's disease, with the common T300A variant linked to impaired xenophagy and altered cytokine responses.

This unconjugated antiserum is validated for western blot, immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence, and immunoprecipitation on human, mouse, and rat samples. It supports studies of intestinal epithelial homeostasis, xenophagy of intracellular bacteria such as adherent-invasive E. coli, ULK1- and CK2-mediated phosphorylation events at Ser278, and tumor cell autophagy in cancer models.

Supplied as 100 µL of liquid polyclonal antibody. The unconjugated format allows flexible pairing with HRP, biotin, Alexa Fluor, or bead-based secondary reagents depending on assay design, and the rabbit host background is compatible with standard double-labeling workflows.
