ATG13 is a critical regulatory subunit of the ULK1 kinase complex that governs autophagy initiation in mammalian cells. This rabbit polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com is raised against ATG13 and detects the endogenous protein in human, mouse, and rat samples. ATG13 functions as a scaffold that brings together ULK1, FIP200, and ATG101, and it undergoes differential phosphorylation by mTORC1 at inhibitory sites and by AMPK at activating sites in response to nutrient status, making it a widely used marker for studying autophagosome biogenesis and mTOR signaling.
The unconjugated antibody is supplied as 100 µl of liquid stock and is validated for western blot, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence workflows. Laboratories working on mitophagy, neurodegeneration models, cancer cell survival under metabolic stress, and nutrient-sensing pathways commonly use this reagent to monitor autophagy flux and ULK1 complex assembly. Aliquot upon receipt and store at -20°C to limit freeze-thaw cycles, keeping working aliquots refrigerated until use.
