This rabbit polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com targets ATG13 (Autophagy Related 13), a ~57 kDa serine/threonine kinase adaptor that scaffolds the ULK1 initiation complex alongside ULK1, FIP200, and ATG101. The unconjugated antibody is supplied at 1 mg/ml in PBS containing 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, with the 100 µl vial sized for multiple experimental rounds.

Validated for western blot, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence, the reagent detects endogenous ATG13 in human, mouse, and rat samples. The cryoprotective glycerol buffer allows storage at -20°C and tolerates routine freeze-thaw cycles, while aliquoting on first thaw is recommended to limit activity loss across long studies. Standard western blot loading of 20-30 µg of whole-cell lysate resolves a band in the expected 56-57 kDa range, with mobility shifts visible after mTOR-driven phosphorylation under nutrient-replete conditions.

ATG13 sits at the hub of nutrient-sensing and autophagy initiation pathways, making the antibody broadly relevant to research on mTORC1 signaling, mitophagy, ER-phagy, and selective cargo recognition. The polyclonal format offers broader epitope coverage than monoclonal alternatives, helping researchers capture modified, truncated, or isoform-variant forms of the protein. Intended for research use only.
