The Anti-ATF6 alpha Antibody [1-7] from Antibodies.com is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a reagent that recognizes Activating Transcription Factor 6 alpha, a 90 kDa type II transmembrane transcription factor central to the unfolded protein response (UPR) and endoplasmic reticulum (ER) stress signaling. Upon accumulation of misfolded proteins in the ER, ATF6 alpha translocates to the Golgi apparatus where it is cleaved by site-1 and site-2 proteases, releasing an active cytosolic fragment that drives transcription of ER-resident chaperones such as BiP/GRP78, XBP1, and other foldases.

This unconjugated antibody is supplied as a 50 ug liquid aliquot and has been validated for western blot, immunoprecipitation (IP), and immunofluorescence (IF) applications on human samples.
