This rabbit polyclonal IgG antibody from Antibodies.com is raised against Activating Transcription Factor 2 (ATF2) when dually phosphorylated at threonine 55 and threonine 73. These two phospho-sites are substrates of stress-activated MAP kinases, including JNK and p38, so the reagent selectively reports the transcriptionally active, kinase-activated pool of ATF2 rather than total protein levels. The antibody is supplied as an unconjugated 50 µl aliquot and is validated for Western blot, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence workflows on human, mouse, and rat samples. Store at -20 °C in small aliquots to limit freeze-thaw cycles. Researchers commonly deploy it to monitor DNA damage responses, oxidative or osmotic stress signalling, and JNK/p38 pathway activity in cell lysates and tissue sections. Because the reagent recognises only the doubly modified epitope, it is a useful activation marker in signalling studies, cancer research models, and investigations of stimulus-dependent gene regulation.
