Phosphorylation of the activating transcription factor ATF2 at serine 498 regulates its dimerization, nuclear localization, and transcriptional output in cellular stress, DNA-damage, and inflammatory signaling pathways. This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com selectively recognizes the phospho-S498 epitope, enabling researchers to track site-specific ATF2 activation triggered by genotoxic agents, cytokines, and growth-factor cues in human and mouse systems.

Validated for Western blot (WB) and immunohistochemistry (IHC), the antibody is supplied at 1 mg/ml in phosphate-buffered saline containing 0.05% sodium azide at approximately pH 7.2, in a 100 µl vial. Aliquot on receipt, refrigerate for short-term storage, and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles to preserve phospho-specific binding. The polyclonal format provides broader epitope coverage around the S498 phospho-site than a monoclonal, useful when mapping stress-kinase outputs in whole-cell lysates and fixed tissue sections.
