Anti-ATF2 (phospho S112 + S94) Antibody

This rabbit polyclonal IgG reagent from Antibodies.com is raised against human Activating Transcription Factor 2 (ATF2) and selectively detects the protein only when it is phosphorylated simultaneously at serine 112 and serine 94. These two phospho-acceptor residues sit in the N-terminal transactivation domain and are direct substrates of stress-activated MAP kinases, including JNK and p38, so the antibody effectively reports activation of the SAPK/JNK and p38 signalling cascades rather than steady-state ATF2 levels.

Supplied as 100 µl of unconjugated antiserum, the reagent is validated for Western blot and immunohistochemistry on Human, Mouse, and Rat samples. Investigators apply it to follow stimulus-dependent phosphorylation after UV exposure, inflammatory cytokine treatment, and other genotoxic or oxidative challenges, as well as in tumour biology, neurodegeneration, and cardiac hypertrophy models where altered ATF2 activity has been documented.

Being polyclonal, the reagent offers broader coverage of the dual phospho-epitope than a typical monoclonal, which is helpful when the modification is substoichiometric or transient in tissue lysates.
