ATF2 (Activating Transcription Factor 2) is a member of the ATF/CREB bZip transcription factor family that becomes phosphorylated by stress-activated JNK and p38 kinases during DNA damage and inflammatory signaling. This rabbit polyclonal antibody was raised against the human ATF2 protein and recognizes an epitope conserved across species, allowing detection of endogenous ATF2 in human, mouse, and rat samples by western blot, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence.

The reagent is supplied at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline (PBS) at approximately pH 7.2, with 0.05% sodium azide as a preservative, packaged in a 100 µl vial. The unconjugated format leaves pairing with secondary antibodies flexible for phospho-ATF2 immunostaining in signaling studies of UV-induced stress, cytokine response, and chromatin regulation. Aliquot on first use and store at -20°C to limit freeze-thaw cycles; refrigeration at 4°C is suitable for active working stocks. Sourced from Antibodies.com, this primary antibody supports target validation and cellular localization in fixed tissue sections, cultured cell lines, and whole-cell lysates.
