Raised in rabbit and affinity-purified by epitope-specific immunogen, this Anti-ATF2 (Ab-73 or 55) Antibody from Antibodies.com is an unconjugated polyclonal reagent catalogued as a Primary Antibody and supplied in a 50 µL volume at approximately 1.0 mg/mL in phosphate-buffered saline (150 mM NaCl, pH 7.4) containing 0.02 sodium azide and 50 glycerol for short- to mid-term storage at –20 °C. The antibody specifically recognises endogenous ATF-2 when phosphorylated at threonine 73 or threonine 55 — the dual Thr-cluster in the activation domain of the transcription factor ATF-2 — and was generated against a synthetic phosphopeptide spanning residues 71–75 or 53–57 (T-P-T(p)-R-F) of human ATF2, conjugated to KLH. It is validated for Western blotting (recommended 1:500–1:1000) and Immunohistochemistry (1:50–1:200), and has been used in additional applications including ELISA and Immunofluorescence in the literature. The host species is Rabbit, the clonality is Polyclonal, the isotype is IgG, the conjugate is Unconjugated, and the documented species reactivity covers Human and Mouse (with cross-reactivity to Rat and Monkey reported for the same immunogen in the manufacturer's data sheet). Each lot is affinity-chromatography purified on an epitope-specific phosphopeptide column, with non-phospho-specific antibodies removed using a non-phosphopeptide column to maximise selectivity for the phosphorylated Thr73/Thr55 epitope, making it well suited to studies of stress-, cytokine- and mitogen-induced signalling through the JNK/p38–ATF2 axis.
