This polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com specifically recognizes Activating Transcription Factor 2 (ATF2) when phosphorylated at threonine residues 73 or 55, two sites targeted by stress-activated kinases such as JNK and p38 in response to DNA damage, oxidative stress, and inflammatory signals. Raised in rabbit, the reagent is supplied as 100 µl of unconjugated antiserum suitable for Western blot (WB) and immunohistochemistry (IHC) workflows.

ATF2 is a member of the ATF/CREB bZIP transcription factor family and forms homodimers or heterodimers with Jun family members to regulate expression of genes involved in cell cycle control, DNA damage repair, and apoptosis. Detection of the phosphorylated, transcriptionally active form of ATF2 is a common readout for kinase pathway activation in cancer research, neurodegeneration studies, and signal transduction investigations.

The antibody has been validated for reactivity against human and mouse samples, enabling cross-species studies in cell lines, primary tissue sections, and whole lysate preparations. It is provided in a vial format and is intended for research use only.
