Supplied by Antibodies.com, this rabbit polyclonal reagent targets the activating transcription factor 2 (ATF2) protein and recognizes an epitope surrounding residues 67–71 or 49–53 of the human sequence (D-Q-T-P-T). It is offered as an unconjugated, affinity-purified preparation at 1 mg/mL in PBS (without Mg2+ and Ca2+), pH 7.4, with 150 mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide, and 50% glycerol, and is available in a 50 µL size (catalog A36237). The antibody was generated by immunizing rabbits with a synthetic peptide–KLH conjugate and then purified by epitope-specific affinity chromatography, ensuring that it detects the endogenous total level of ATF2 without phospho-selectivity. Validated for Western blot (1:500–1:1000) and immunohistochemistry on paraffin-embedded sections (1:50–1:100), it has been verified on LOVO cell lysates and on human breast carcinoma tissue by IHC. Cross-reactivity is confirmed for human, mouse, and rat samples, making it suitable for comparative studies across these species. For best preservation, the supplier recommends storage at −20 °C for long-term use and at 4 °C for short-term working aliquots, with the note that the reagent is intended for research use only and not for diagnostic or therapeutic applications.
