Anti-Ataxin-2 Antibody

Manufactured by Antibodies.com, this affinity-purified polyclonal reagent is raised in rabbit against a synthesized peptide derived from the internal region of human Ataxin-2 and is supplied as a 50 µL liquid at 1 mg/mL in PBS containing 50% glycerol, 0.5% BSA and 0.02% sodium azide. The unconjugated antibody specifically detects endogenous levels of the Ataxin-2 protein — also known by the synonyms ATX2, ATXN2, SCA2, Spinocerebellar ataxia type 2 protein, TNRC13 and Trinucleotide repeat-containing gene 13 protein — and has been validated across a broad panel of immunoassays, including ELISA, Western Blotting (WB), Immunocytochemistry/Immunofluorescence (ICC/IF) and Immunohistochemistry (IHC). The reagent shows reactivity with both human and mouse samples, supporting studies of spinocerebellar ataxia type 2 and other neurodegenerative pathways in which ATXN2 is implicated. For handling, the antibody is shipped at 4 °C and should be aliquoted upon receipt and stored at –20 °C, with avoidance of repeated freeze/thaw cycles to preserve binding activity.
