Anti-ASPA Antibody

This rabbit polyclonal primary antibody from Antibodies.com targets human aspartoacylase (ASPA), the lysosomal enzyme responsible for hydrolyzing N-acetyl-L-aspartate into aspartate and acetate. Supplied as 100 µl of a 1 mg/ml stock in PBS with 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, the unconjugated reagent supports western blot, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence workflows on human samples. ASPA deficiency underlies Canavan disease, a fatal leukodystrophy, making this antibody useful for studies of brain N-acetyl-aspartate metabolism, oligodendrocyte function, and renal expression patterns.
