Anti-ASK1 (S89) Antibody

This polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com targets the S89 phosphorylated region of apoptosis signal-regulating kinase 1 (ASK1, also known as MAP3K5), a stress-activated serine/threonine kinase positioned upstream of the JNK and p38 MAPK signaling cascades.

Raised in a rabbit host, the antibody is supplied as 50 µl of unconjugated IgG at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline containing 0.05% sodium azide at approximately pH 7.2. The reagent is validated for immunohistochemistry (IHC) on human tissue, supporting investigations of oxidative stress signaling, cytokine-driven inflammation, and ASK1-mediated apoptosis pathways where phosphorylation at serine 89 is the readout of interest.

Typical applications include staining of formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded sections to map ASK1 activation across cardiac stress models, neurodegenerative tissue, and tumor microenvironments. For handling, aliquot upon arrival to limit freeze-thaw cycles and store refrigerated; longer-term storage in a frozen state at -20 °C is acceptable for retained activity.
