Raised in rabbits against a synthetic phosphopeptide corresponding to the serine 89 region of human ASK1 (also known as MAP3K5), this unconjugated polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com is supplied as 100 µl at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline (pH ~7.2) containing 0.05% sodium azide as a preservative.

ASK1 is a stress-activated MAP kinase kinase kinase that sits upstream of the JNK and p38 pathways, transducing oxidative, inflammatory, and endoplasmic reticulum stress signals into downstream kinase activation. This antibody targets the phosphorylated form of ASK1 at serine 89, allowing immunohistochemical visualization of the modified protein within fixed tissue sections and supporting studies of kinase activation in disease-relevant samples.

The polyclonal format provides multi-epitope coverage of the phospho-S89 motif, which can be valuable when working with partially degraded antigens or in tissues where ASK1 expression is low. The reagent is validated for IHC on human samples and is unconjugated, giving researchers flexibility to pair it with their preferred HRP- or fluorophore-based detection chemistry.

For routine use, store refrigerated in the original vial; for long-term keeping, aliquot and store frozen, protecting the solution from repeated freeze-thaw cycles. This product is intended for research use only.
