Anti-ASK1 (phospho-S966) Antibody

This rabbit polyclonal phospho-specific antibody from Antibodies.com targets ASK1 (Apoptosis Signal-regulating Kinase 1, also called MAP3K5) phosphorylated at serine 966. The S966 residue is an established ERK-dependent regulatory site on ASK1: phosphorylation at this position is widely reported to attenuate ASK1 catalytic activity, so detection of phospho-S966 in tissue sections serves as a useful surrogate for upstream ERK input into the ASK1 stress module and for studies of how cells resolve JNK and p38 signaling following an initial pro-apoptotic stimulus such as TNF-alpha exposure, oxidative stress, or endoplasmic reticulum stress.

Supplied as 100 µl of affinity-purified IgG at approximately 1 mg/ml in phosphate-buffered saline (PBS, pH ~7.2) containing 0.05% sodium azide as a preservative, the reagent is unconjugated and validated for immunohistochemistry on formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissue.
