This polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com is raised in rabbit against ASK1 (MAP3K5) phosphorylated at serine 1033, a regulatory site that controls activation of the JNK and p38 MAPK cascades under oxidative, inflammatory, and cytokine stress. The reagent is supplied as 100 µl of purified IgG at 1 mg/ml in PBS supplemented with 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, and is validated for Western blot on lysates from human, mouse, and rat samples. The unconjugated format lets laboratories pair it with their preferred anti-rabbit secondary, whether HRP-, fluorescent-, or biotin-based, depending on the imaging or film detection platform already in use.

ASK1 operates as a central node in stress-activated kinase signaling, and phosphorylation at S1033 is part of the activation-associated events that modulate its kinase activity. Researchers working on apoptosis, ROS-driven injury models, TNF and IL-1 signaling, and MAPK pathway biology use this reagent to compare active versus basal ASK1 across treated and untreated cell lines or primary tissue. For handling, store the vial at -20 °C in working aliquots to limit freeze-thaw cycles; the glycerol cryoprotectant keeps the protein soluble during brief bench use, and the standard 1 mg/ml concentration supports dilution into blocking buffer at typical immunoblot working ranges.
