The ASK1 protein (Apoptosis Signal-regulating Kinase 1, also designated MAP3K5) is a serine/threonine kinase that sits at the head of stress-activated MAPK signaling cascades governing apoptosis and inflammation. This polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com is raised in rabbit, is unconjugated, and has been validated for western blot detection across human, mouse, and rat sample lysates.

Each vial ships as 100 µl of liquid at 1 mg/ml, formulated in PBS with 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol. The glycerol-containing buffer permits storage at -20°C while protecting the protein from freeze-thaw damage, and working aliquots can be kept refrigerated for short-term use during ongoing western blot work.

ASK1 (MAP3K5) integrates signals from oxidative stress, TNF-alpha stimulation, and endoplasmic reticulum stress through downstream MKK4/MKK7 and JNK/p38 MAPK pathways, so this antibody supports research into programmed cell death, cytokine signaling, and cellular stress response mechanisms. It pairs readily with HRP- or fluorophore-conjugated secondary antibodies for chemiluminescent or fluorescent immunoblotting of cell and tissue extracts.
