This rabbit polyclonal IgG reagent from Antibodies.com targets ASH2L, a core scaffold subunit of the SET1/COMPASS and MLL (KMT2) histone H3K4 methyltransferase complexes. Supplied as an unconjugated 200 µl liquid aliquot, the antibody directly detects the chromatin regulator without an attached reporter, allowing researchers to conjugate fluorophores, biotin, or HRP to fit their own assay design.

Validated for Western blot and immunofluorescence, the reagent has confirmed reactivity against human and mouse samples, supporting studies in transcription, epigenetics, hematopoiesis, and stem cell biology. ASH2L mediates methylation of histone H3 at lysine 4 (H3K4me3), a mark associated with active gene transcription, and its WD40 and PHD finger domains engage chromatin through direct interactions with complex partners such as WDR5, RBBP5, and DPY30.

Beyond canonical histone methylation, ASH2L contributes to embryonic development, hematopoietic lineage specification, and cell fate determination. The protein is required for the initiation and maintenance of MLL-rearranged acute myeloid leukemia and has been linked to solid tumor biology through modulation of Wnt signaling and proliferation pathways. The unconjugated IgG format is well suited to chromatin immunoprecipitation workflows and to co-localization studies in fixed cells.
