Anti-ASF1A Antibody

Raised in rabbit against the ASF1A histone chaperone, this polyclonal antibody recognizes the conserved C-terminal region of human ASF1A (Anti-Silencing Function 1A) and is supplied by Antibodies.com as an unconjugated, affinity-purified IgG fraction in a 100 µL volume. ASF1A delivers newly synthesized H3.1/H3.3–H4 dimers to deposition complexes, supporting nucleosome assembly during DNA replication, transcription-coupled chromatin remodeling, and repair of damaged chromatin.

Recommended uses include Western blot on whole-cell or nuclear lysates, where the antibody detects a band near the predicted 23 kDa molecular weight, and immunofluorescence staining of fixed cells to reveal the predominantly nuclear distribution of endogenous ASF1A. Reactivity has been confirmed in human, mouse, and rat samples, allowing comparative studies across routine cell-line and primary-tissue models.
