Anti-ASC Antibody

Manufactured by Antibodies.com, this affinity-purified reagent is a rabbit polyclonal antibody raised against ASC (also known as PYCARD, TMS1, CARD5 or hASC), an apoptosis-associated speck-like protein that contains a caspase recruitment domain. The unconjugated antibody is supplied as a 50 µL liquid formulation at approximately 1 mg/mL in PBS containing 50% glycerol, 0.5% BSA and 0.02% sodium azide, and is validated for Western Blotting (WB) and Immunohistochemistry (IHC) on human, mouse and rat samples. Because it detects endogenous levels of the ASC protein, it is well suited to studies of inflammasome assembly, pyroptosis and apoptotic signalling pathways across these species. The antibody was generated against a synthetic peptide derived from the N-terminal region of human ASC and purified by affinity chromatography using the epitope-specific immunogen to minimise cross-reactivity. For routine handling, the vial is shipped at 4 °C; on receipt it should be aliquoted and stored at −20 °C, with repeated freeze/thaw cycles avoided to preserve activity.
