The Anti-ASAH1 Antibody from Antibodies.com is a rabbit polyclonal reagent raised against acid ceramidase (N-acylsphingosine amidohydrolase 1), the lysosomal enzyme that converts ceramide into sphingosine and a free fatty acid. Supplied as an unconjugated preparation in a 100 µl volume, it is validated for western blot and immunohistochemistry workflows on human samples, supporting studies of sphingolipid turnover, lysosomal storage disorders such as Farber disease, and the SMA-PME phenotype linked to ASAH1 loss of function.

Because acid ceramidase sits at a branch point between ceramide-driven apoptosis and sphingosine-1-phosphate signaling, the reagent is also used by groups tracking differentiation, inflammatory responses, and tumor cell survival pathways in which ceramide balance has been implicated. The polyclonal format broadens epitope coverage across the ASAH1 protein, which is helpful when probing endogenous expression in cell lysates (WB) and in fixed tissue sections (IHC).
