ARPP21 is a cAMP-regulated phosphoprotein that is highly expressed in striatal medium spiny neurons and other brain regions. The protein exists in two major isoforms—a short ~21 kDa form and a longer variant—and has attracted attention as a cerebrospinal fluid biomarker candidate in Alzheimer's disease research, where altered ARPP21 levels have been reported in affected patients.
From Antibodies.com, this rabbit polyclonal reagent is supplied as 100 µl of unconjugated antisera validated for western blot (WB) and immunohistochemistry (IHC) on human samples. It supports studies of dopaminergic cAMP/PKA signaling, mapping of ARPP21 distribution in neural tissue, and characterization of the protein in neurodegenerative disease models.
Aliquot the antibody upon arrival and store refrigerated; repeated freeze-thaw cycles should be avoided to preserve reactivity over the working lifetime of the reagent.
