The polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com targets ARMX2, a member of the armadillo-repeat family of proteins encoded on the X chromosome and primarily associated with mitochondrial membranes. Raised in rabbit and supplied as an unconjugated preparation in a 100 µl volume, it is validated for Western blot (WB) and immunofluorescence (IF) workflows, with demonstrated reactivity against human, mouse, and rat samples.

ARMX2 localizes to the inner mitochondrial membrane, where it has been described in the literature as a regulator of mitochondrial dynamics and a binding partner of components such as VDAC2. Researchers studying mitochondrial transport, mitochondrial-associated membranes, and X-linked neurological phenotypes use this reagent to profile ARMX2 expression in neuronal and non-neuronal cell lines, as well as in tissue lysates from rodent brain and skeletal muscle. The polyclonal format increases the likelihood of recognizing multiple epitopes across the target, which can be useful when working with orthologs or confirming expression patterns across species.

Because the antibody is supplied unconjugated, it can be paired with a secondary reagent of the researcher's choice — HRP for chemiluminescent Western blot detection, or fluorophore-conjugated secondaries for multiplex immunofluorescence imaging. Refrigerated storage is recommended to preserve antibody activity; aliquoting upon first use helps minimize repeated freeze-thaw cycles and extends usable shelf life. For research use only.
