The ARHGDIA protein, formally known as Rho GDP-dissociation inhibitor alpha and commonly abbreviated RhoGDIα, governs Rho family GTPase activity by sequestering GDP-bound RhoA, Rac1, and Cdc42 in the cytosol. An antibody raised against this target from Antibodies.com is therefore a useful reagent for studying cytoskeletal remodeling, cell motility, integrin signaling, and apoptosis-related cascades in human, mouse, and rat model systems.

This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal reagent is supplied at 1 mg/ml in PBS with 0.1% sodium azide as a preservative and 50% glycerol as a cryoprotectant, and ships as a 100 µl vial that supports multiple runs across blotting and imaging workflows. Validated applications include western blot, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence, covering experiments from lysate-based expression profiling to fixed-tissue and cultured-cell localization studies.

For routine handling, aliquot on receipt and store at -20°C; the glycerol already in the formulation helps protect the immunoglobulin fraction during occasional bench use and limits degradation from repeated freeze-thaw cycles. The polyclonal format offers multi-epitope recognition, which can be advantageous when probing denatured samples for western blot analysis or when localizing endogenous RhoGDIα in fixed specimens for fluorescence imaging.

Published work has used anti-ARHGDIA reagents to track altered RhoGDIα expression in tumor progression studies of bladder and breast tissue, in neuronal models linking Rho GTPase availability to amyloid precursor protein processing, and in inflammation research examining leukocyte migration. Because the antibody is unconjugated, it can be paired with secondary reagents of the researcher's choice, including HRP-, biotin-, or fluorophore-conjugated anti-rabbit IgG for flexible detection chemistry.
