Offered by Antibodies.com as part of their Primary Antibodies catalogue, this rabbit polyclonal reagent is raised against Argininosuccinate Lyase (also known as Arginosuccinase, ASAL or ASL) and is supplied in a 100 µl vial at the CAD903 reference. The antibody is unconjugated and of the IgG isotype, and the host species is Rabbit with a polyclonal clonality. It is validated for Western blotting (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC) and Immunocytochemistry/Immunofluorescence (ICC/IF), and reactivity has been confirmed in Human samples; the immunogen is a recombinant protein fragment corresponding to a region within amino acids 13 and 231 of Argininosuccinate Lyase. The preparation is purified by antigen-affinity chromatography and formulated in 0.1 M Tris-buffered saline with 20% glycerol at pH 7.0, with 0.01% Thimerosal added as a preservative. For routine handling the product is shipped at 4 °C and, on receipt, should be aliquoted and stored at −20 °C, with repeated freeze/thaw cycles avoided; for continuous use it can be kept at 4 °C. The antibody is dispatched from Cambridge (UK) with a typical lead time of 6–9 business days and is intended for research use only, not for diagnostic or therapeutic applications. Researchers studying the urea cycle, hepatic arginine metabolism or citrullinaemia-related pathways will find this reagent a reliable tool for detecting endogenous ASL by multiple immunoassay formats.
