This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal antibody binds Arginase 1 (ARG1), a manganese-dependent metalloenzyme that hydrolyzes L-arginine to ornithine and urea in the hepatic urea cycle. ARG1 expression is widely used as a marker of alternatively activated (M2-polarized) macrophages in immunology and tumor-microenvironment studies, and is also prominent in hepatocytes, where reduced enzymatic activity is associated with certain urea-cycle disorders.

The reagent from Antibodies.com is supplied as 100 µl of purified IgG at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline (PBS) containing 0.05% sodium azide, at approximately pH 7.2. Recommended applications are Western blot and immunocytochemistry (ICC). The antibody has been validated for reactivity with Human, Mouse, and Rat samples, supporting cross-species work in mouse models of liver injury, inflammation, or cancer as well as corresponding human tissue analysis.

Refrigerate the vial upon arrival and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles; the sodium azide preservative permits brief handling at room temperature. This unconjugated format is compatible with secondary-antibody detection in fluorescence, chromogenic, and chemiluminescent workflows. For research use only.
