Amphiregulin (AREG), an EGF-family ligand that drives EGFR signaling in epithelial and immune cell populations, can be detected across human and mouse specimens using this unconjugated rabbit polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com. Supplied as a 100 µl aliquot, the reagent supports Western blot and immunohistochemistry workflows on cultured cells, whole-cell lysates, and formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tissue sections.
The antibody recognizes the native AREG protein and is suited to research in oncology, where amphiregulin contributes to EGFR-dependent proliferation and metastatic behavior, as well as studies of mucosal immunity, wound healing, and fibrotic disease, where AREG is released by regulatory T cells and group 2 innate lymphoid cells to mediate tissue remodeling. The unconjugated format allows flexible pairing with HRP-, biotin-, or fluorophore-conjugated secondary reagents for chromogenic or immunofluorescence detection, and the cross-reactivity profile with mouse samples supports translational work in inflammatory and tumor mouse models.
