The Androgen Receptor (AR) is a steroid-activated nuclear transcription factor that regulates gene expression in response to dihydrotestosterone and testosterone. Produced by Antibodies.com as an unconjugated rabbit polyclonal reagent, this primary antibody is validated for Western blot, immunohistochemistry, and ELISA workflows on human samples. The 50 µl format supports multiple immunoblot or staining experiments, and the polyclonal antibody pool targets several epitopes across the AR protein, which can help when probing for truncated or mutant receptor variants encountered in castration-resistant prostate cancer research. Investigators studying androgen signaling, hormone-responsive gene regulation, and AR-targeted therapeutics can use this reagent to characterize receptor expression, subcellular localization in tissue sections, and relative abundance by densitometry.
