AQP1, also known as Aquaporin-1, is a member of the aquaporin family of integral membrane proteins that function as selective water channels. This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal IgG reagent from Antibodies.com is raised against AQP1 and validated for Western blot detection of the endogenous human and mouse protein. Supplied as a 100 µl volume, the antibody supports immunoblotting workflows that probe aquaporin-1 expression across tissues such as kidney proximal tubules and renal epithelium, where AQP1 is abundantly expressed, as well as erythrocyte membranes and microvascular endothelia. Researchers studying membrane transport, renal physiology, and osmotic water permeability can use this reagent to identify the characteristic AQP1 band on Western blots of whole-cell lysates. The polyclonal format provides epitope diversity, supporting robust recognition of the target even where minor sequence variations exist between species.
