APTX (Aprataxin) is a DNA repair enzyme critical for resolving 5'-adenylate intermediates at single-strand DNA breaks, and this rabbit polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com provides a specific tool for tracking the protein across multiple model systems. Raised in rabbit and purified as an IgG preparation supplied at 1 mg/ml in PBS with 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, the reagent is unconjugated and is suitable for both western blot detection of endogenous aprataxin levels and immunohistochemistry on tissue sections. The antibody has been validated for reactivity with human, mouse, and rat samples, making it appropriate for comparative studies of DNA damage response pathways in cell lines and primary tissue. Each vial contains 100 µl of working stock, and the polyclonal format offers broader epitope coverage than a monoclonal reagent when probing for full-length protein versus truncated disease-associated variants such as those linked to ataxia with oculomotor apraxia type 1 (AOA1).
