Anti-APP Antibody

Manufactured by Antibodies.com, this rabbit polyclonal reagent targets the amyloid precursor protein (APP) and is supplied as a 50 µl aliquot at 1.0 mg/mL in phosphate-buffered saline (pH 7.4) containing 150 mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol. The unconjugated antibody was raised against a synthetic peptide of human APP and purified by affinity chromatography, detecting the endogenous total APP protein in Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry workflows. It cross-reacts with human, mouse and rat samples, making it suitable for comparative studies across the most common laboratory models. The polyclonal host (rabbit) format provides broader epitope coverage than a monoclonal, which is often desirable when probing full-length APP and its proteolytic fragments. For handling, the vial is shipped at 4 °C and should be aliquoted and stored at −20 °C upon arrival, with repeated freeze/thaw cycles avoided to preserve activity.
