Anti-APP/β-Amyloid (E737) Antibody

This rabbit polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com is raised against APP/β-Amyloid and recognises the epitope designated E737. It is supplied at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline (PBS) with 0.05% sodium azide, approximately pH 7.2, and is unconjugated. The reagent is validated for Western blot (WB), immunohistochemistry (IHC) and immunofluorescence (ICC/IF) applications, and reacts with human, mouse and rat samples.

The immunogen is a synthetic peptide corresponding to amino acids 701-750 of human APP/β-Amyloid. The antibody detects endogenous levels of several isoforms of both mature and immature β-amyloid A4 precursor protein, including APP639, APP677, APP695, APP696, APP714, APP733, APP751 and APP752. The target protein migrates at approximately 70 to 140 kDa. The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum using epitope-specific immunogen and shows > 95% purity by SDS-PAGE.

The target, APP, is encoded on chromosome 21 (25880550-26171128) and is reported to show low tissue specificity, with subcellular localisation at the Golgi apparatus and vesicles.
