The Antibodies.com Anti-Apolipoprotein E polyclonal reagent is raised in rabbit and validated for western blot detection of human ApoE, a 34 kDa apolipoprotein central to cholesterol and phospholipid transport through the bloodstream and cerebrospinal fluid.
ApoE research spans neurodegeneration, where the ε4 isoform elevates late-onset Alzheimer's disease risk, and cardiovascular biology, where ApoE governs hepatic clearance of triglyceride-rich lipoproteins via LDL receptor binding. Investigators apply this antibody to probe astrocyte secretions, plasma lipoprotein fractions, and brain tissue lysates when comparing isoform expression across disease and control cohorts.
Each vial contains 100 µg of unconjugated rabbit IgG in liquid PBS buffer; store at -20 °C and aliquot upon first thaw to limit freeze-thaw cycles and preserve titer for repeat blotting runs.
